Annie Fox for Teens... Hey, Terra!

Annie (AKA Hey Terra!) has been around long enough to have experienced a lot of what Life can dish out. But, it hasn’t been so long that she's forgotten what it's like to be your age. Check out some of the thousands of email questions teens from around the world have sent to Terra. You may learn something useful from her answers:

Age difference:
“I would feel weird having a relationship with him.”

Hey Terra,

There is a boy who is 15 and I'm 13. He recently told me that he likes me. I like him too. What should I do? I would feel weird having a relationship with him.

Lovable

Dear Lovable,

You shouldn't "do" anything. You say you feel "weird" about having a relationship with him. That tells you that you aren't comfortable with the idea. If that's how you feel, then that's just fine.

Tell this boy, "I'm too young to go out with you." He may try to convince you to "trust him" and "not be afraid" and all of that. Don't listen to him. Listen to your good sense. That "weird" feeling you're getting is your good sense telling you to stay away.

OK?

In friendship,

Terra
