Thanks that was quite helpful. I do have a question though. I was thinking to help become friends again I could invite her and a group of our mutual friends to the mall to hang out. Do you think this is a sensible approach? or do you think I should be more direct and just invite her?What Do I Do Now?

I think you've got a good idea. "Hey a group of us are going to the mall. Wanna come?" It's direct without being a highly pressurized invitation.
