Annie Fox for Teens... Hey, Terra!

Annie (AKA Hey Terra!) has been around long enough to have experienced a lot of what Life can dish out. But, it hasn’t been so long that she's forgotten what it's like to be your age. Check out some of the thousands of email questions teens from around the world have sent to Terra. You may learn something useful from her answers:

“I told my bf I'd do a threesome with him.”
(Continued)

Hey Terra,

Yes I am comfortable with it... basically the only thing I was paranoid about was that when he goes away to vacation if he cheats. Well actually that was my attitude last night. I woke up and I just thought that I'm going to enjoy what's going on in this moment. And I gotta face that people do get hurt in relationships. I was just scared of him not caring, which is natural. All I can do is be happy in the moment because when the time comes and this moment passes me by I don't wanna regret caring about him this much. But with every relationship, people grow and learn to improve, what they like and don't like, what's their style, and with the new relationship that comes, you know, your boundaries and what you want from that person and what you're willing to give them. A part of me feels like it's a good idea not to stress out since I've got prom, finals, walk-a-thon, and my job----- the other part of me thinks I'm giving up too easily and that I WILL get hurt.

Penelope

Dear Penelope,

You sound like a very mature young woman. I respect you for all of the thought you've put into how relationships work. As for enjoying what's "going on in this moment"... Well, you're exactly right on that one. "Now" is all there is and if we miss enjoying the "now", we have really missed the whole point.

When it comes down to it, in life, the only thing you can control is your stress levels and your choices.

Enjoy the rest of your school year and write to me any time you need an outside point of view to help you sort things out.

In friendship,

Terra
